DigiTS aims to support and promote digital methods in Humanities research at the University of Tartu at all levels (from BA students through senior researchers) and in all Humanities and Social Sciences disciplines, but particularly for research involving textual data. These support initiatives include open events that showcase and teach digital humanities approaches, an open “Digital Humanities Lab” that serves as an informal forum to discuss ideas, data and methodology with other Digital Humanities scholars, and research seminars focused on specific Digital Humanities methods. Since spring 2026, the DigiTS team is also offering monthly consultations on Digital Humanities methods to other researchers.
DigiTS is a project funded by the European Union under grant agreement ID 101186601.
